Singapore, Here We Come

After 2+ years of waiting, our little family has finally gotten the green light: on July 1, 2009, we are moving to Singapore for 1 1/2 to 2 years.

Scott works for an engineering services company, and he will be working on a project to start up a new plant there. So we're packing up the kids and shlepping them halfway around the world. I have never really lived away from Houston, unless you count college. Oh, and a 4-month stint in Dallas. (Big whoop.) Right now I see this as a project to keep me busy for the next 5 months. There is so much to do. I have spreadsheets shooting out of my ears. But I know once we get closer to our departure, reality will set in and I'll start doubting our decision...

Right now we're starting to go through our posessions to decide what we'll keep and what we'll get rid of (toss/donate/sell). And then we have to decide what we're taking to Singapore and what we're leaving here.

I think I am going to be developing an intimate relationship with craigslist.
