Sam started school yesterday. He did great when I dropped him off in the morning. Then in the afternoon he took the school bus home. Hannah and I met him at the bus stop to walk him home. He seemed a little scared, because he jumped from the bottom step of the bus into my arms, and was clinging on really tightly. He was a little overwhelmed riding such a big bus by himself (although they do have a teacher/helper there to ensure all of the little kids are safe and taken care of). But his teacher wrote home that he had a great day! According to Sam, there was a bicycle race; he said he won, and that "all the other kids were too slow so they didn't win." How's that for humble?
I didn't get a photo of him for his first day, but here he is from this morning, in his uniform waiting for the bus.
And Hannah and I rode over to Plaza Singapura today to pick up some things we've been needing. We went to the bus station to wait for the number 65 to take us to Orchard Road, and while we were waiting, a free shuttle bus to Plaza Singapure pulled up. I didn't even know it existed! That made me happy. It saved us at least $1.50 and 10 minutes. :)
When we got there, first we hit Carrefour, which means Walmart in French. Seriously, from the short time I was there, it seemed just like Walmart, but with a much better grocery selection. That's not a bad thing though, because up until then, I was wondering where a girl had to go to buy a dang lunch box. The only place I knew of was Giant, which is the major hypermart way up north that I've heard is scary crowded, which gives me anxiety. So while at Carrefour, Hannah decided to hide in the clothes racks.

We also went to Spotlight, which is an Australian-based craft and material store. They had some great stuff there, but Hannah started getting out of hand right about then, so we headed out. But first, she had to stop to ride the little mechanical school bus, just like her big brother. Except with a rat.

Hahaha! I'm glad the rat was there to keep Hannah safe. What great pics! It sounds like you had a great day. LYMY! (Love you miss you)
